Red Oak United Methodist Church, 3894 Walt Stephens Road, Stockbridge, will present the play, "The Wedding: I Do, I Think," Saturday, May 21, at 7 p.m., featuring the church's children and youths. Everyone is invited.

Forest Park First Baptist Church VIP Ministries, 634 Main St., Forest Park, will meet Tuesday, May 24, at 10:45 a.m., in the church fellowship hall. Senior adults are welcome to join in fellowship, lunch and a special program of interest to senior citizens. Meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of each month, except in December. The May speaker will be Forest Park City Manager and Director of Public Safety John Parker. Parker will share plans and information concerning the changes and developments in the city.

Friendship Community Church, at 4141 Old Fairburn Road, College Park, will hold an annual Memorial Day concert Sunday, May 29, at 6 p.m. Admission is free. Red Oak United Methodist Church, located at 3894 Walt Stephens Road, Stockbridge, will have an annual barbecue, June 11, 9 a.m., to 6 p.m., in the church parking lot. The Methodist Men will be selling ribs, chicken dinners and sandwiches.

Perfecting the Saints Church International, at 1009 Tara Boulevard, Hampton, is hosting a free community shred day June 11, 11 a.m., to 2 p.m. Bring your stack of papers, letters and sensitive documents and have them professionally shredded by the Shred Doctor. Community Bible Church, at 2001 Jodeco Road in Stockbridge, offers Celebrate Recovery every Thursday, starting at 6 p.m. The support group provides a place where people can work toward conquering anxiety, depression, anger, food addiction, chemical dependency, co-dependency, drug addiction, and heartache. The Laymen Ministry of Christians for Change Baptist Church, located at 2110 Bethsaida Road in Riverdale, is announcing the arrival of Cub and Boy Scout troops at CFC. The Cub Scout program is for boys in first-grade through fifth-grade, and the Boy Scout program is for boys between the ages of 11 and 17.
