* BREAKING NEWS -- SACS lifts accreditation probation for Clayton Schools

Dr. Heatley needs to go back to California. He also needs to take Dr. Henricks with him. Both of these men do not represent what is best in the Clayton County Schools. They are self-serving, ego-maniacs who are willing to do anything for power. Although some of us did not know Heatley prior to his coming to Georgia, we did know Dr.Hendricks, and we are disappointed that he has aligned himself with Heatley and forsaken those folks who cared about him before he became "powerful." Heatley and Henrdicks need to remember that "one reaps what one sows."

* Lampl ousted from Morrow City Council seat

By citizens like me and apparently you, who didn't have a clue about what had been going on. Wake up, "Peggy" and educate yourself about the FACTS or we're going to end up with a Mayor Lampl, which would be a REAL diaster for the city of Morrow!

* BREAKING NEWS -- SACS lifts accreditation probation for Clayton Schools

This whole accreditation thing has been a look at how Big Business can disenfranchise voters in Black Voters.

* Lampl ousted from Morrow City Council seat

lampl's "election" was questionable since he had a "friend" bringing people in to vote early, held their hands and spoke english for them, too. How does one become a citizen and not speak any english? Oh, that's right. Just have them check the right box on the voter registration card and they become a citizen. He couldn't even folow those rules.

* Residents learn cake-baking at library

She's a great person, very funny! I didn't know that nutmeg is great for blood pressure. I hope her dreams of owning a restaurant business becomes a reality.

* BREAKING NEWS -- SACS lifts accreditation probation for Clayton Schools

What dramatic prose "the last vestiges are swept away" the author is trying to draw comparisons to slavery and segregation by using this phrasing. What about the last vestiges of board incompetence are swept away. Fat chance. Quit trying to equate everything with slavery and segregation.

* Vietnam veterans give oral histories

It is always nice to honor a vets from any "conflict" they fought in, I just wish it was always the time...many from this era were rejected and cursed when they came back...I quess now with all "conflicts" we are in around the world it is political correct to remember our vets. Before you say anything our family has vets from every "conflict" the United States has entered.

* Man beaten in McDonough parking lot

I think that no matter what the name is;It is going to attrack the same type of activity. You can change the name of sewage to shampoo and it is still going to stink to high heaven! Come on Henry County! How many people are going to be killed and hurt until you shut this place down. We have to be proactive and not reactive; meaning not waiting until something more horrible happens! Leap into action now. Karen

* Man beaten in McDonough parking lot

You are absolutely right Noroit; I don't know what we are going to do; Its just going to get worse if times keep harder. The 12% insist on making a living on praying on other people who try to do the right thing and work so they can have a home and to have nice things; only to have the 12% either break into the home and steel it. or break into their car and steel exspensive items out of it. or low and behold they steel the car it's self. I could go on and on; but I won't. Y'all get the picture! Now what are we going to do to fix it. Remember it takes a village; and we are our brothers keeper. Karen

* Shooting suspect arrested after leaving ID at scene

I love dumb criminals....I hope more are like this so they can get off the streets and stop endangering the good citizens of Henry County.

* Minor crime, bad decision almost doomed thief

I agree with the verdict- number one; He stole, two; he put the officers life in danger, he put the lives of innocent by standers in danger as well did he put the other drivers on the roads life in danger! Then I didn't even mention his past record of theft, he had several charges of the same nature with in a six year span. I agree with the verdict. I assure you Mr. Jones did not even take into effect how all of his actions was going to effect his children, his wife; and not to mention him and the rest of his life! After all who is going to hire him with his back ground? then what else is going to do if he can't get a legit job? He will go right back to steeling, which "he would have done anyway" considering his record. So at least if he does eleven years that will keep the people out here a little safer for the next eleven years anyway. All in all I say: If you do the crime you do the time; If we go to the bible; You reap what you sew. I pray he finds god. Thanks Guy's, Karen

* Vietnam veterans give oral histories

america needs to look in the mirror and practice saying they are sorry for the way the vets were treated when they cane home and then tell that to every vet they come across or know .im a vet from desert storm and i tell them all everytime i meet one thankyou and im sorry for the wahay they were treated

* Vietnam veterans give oral histories

Thanks for the welcome home.

* Man beaten in McDonough parking lot

Sounds just like Clayton County. Its the same type of young people causing trouble.

* Man beaten in McDonough parking lot

Its not the location or type of establishment. Its the young thugs who are wanna be gang members. They are causing problems all over the county including schools. Why is it that the suspects description is always the same Young _______ Males

* Minor crime, bad decision almost doomed thief

What has happened to Henry County? The police should just stop arresting the criminals. Let's see if they change their minds about convicting them then. The Officer puts his life on the line to get this guy and the citizens don't even seem to care. Maybe next time he will take YOUR stuff.

Heatley and the Boe can deny until the cows come in, but there are individuals who have witnessed Dr. Heatley's unethical behavior. It is not "alleged."

* Lampl ousted from Morrow City Council seat

john lampl ruined the financial stability of a lovely city. His ego spent every penny and created tremendous debt. So many people thought he was brilliant and now the proof is out there. He is stupid and corrupt. A near fatal combination for Morrow. lampl is not capable of handling a big job like being a city manager and he is to childish to control his behavior and hold a council seat.

* Lampl: 'I'd do Olde Towne again'

when the employees get laid off, thank john lampl. when property taxes go up, thank john lampl. when the city goes bankrupt, thank john lampl.

* Aviation museum reveals plans for permanent home

very nice, but a museum about gwtw would have a far greater economic impact.everybody in the world , when in atl. asks where' tara? when i use to travel the u.s. for work, all conversation would halt when i said i was from 'tara'. use it to dispell the happy slave myth. the flood of cash would make us the richest county in the metro area.

* Waldrip, Rhoda Lee

The world has lost one of its great workers. We had so much fun and laughter growing up with Rhoda and Frank and mom and dad on all those girl scouts trips. But the stories that she always told about her time on the school bus are alway dear to me. When she left transportation the whole dept fell apart. Couldn't nobody run that front like she did. I guess that is why nearly everybody is gone and no one gets to see a smiling face when they come through that door. I know Rhoda and Lady (mom) are up there getting everybody where they need to be and Frank and daddy are building those early morning campfires with the coffee. I miss seeing all of you and talking with someone sane (those walls of transportation just don't give you the encouragement like Rhoda did. We will miss her dearly.
