Mr. Walter D. White, 78, of Forest Park, passed away May 21, 2011. He was a member of Harvest Baptist Tabernacle. He is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Dallas Batson, of Blue Ridge; sons and daughters-in-law, Walter, Jr., and Amy White, of North Carolina, Chris and Teresa White, of Newnan, Ga.; son, Michael White, of North Carolina; brothers, Sherman White, Wendell White, Herman White, Jim Edd White; sisters, Merlene Beasley, Barbara Berrong, Penny Walker; 13 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held TODAY (Tuesday, May 24), at 11 a.m., at the Harvest Baptist Tabernacle. His remains will be placed in-state one hour prior to the service. Dr. Joe Arthur will officiate. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family received friends on Monday, May 23, from 6 p.m., to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
