Clayton County's Office of Neighborhood Stabilization has announced it will host a "County Housing Fair" on Saturday, in Forest Park.
The housing fair, which will be held at Starr Park, at 803 Forest Pkwy., will allow those interested in purchasing a home in Clayton County to learn about HUD-foreclosed homes, and down payment assistance programs available in the county, according to the county's web site, www.claytoncountyga.gov/.
Representatives from Home Depot and Lowes are scheduled to be on hand, to give prospective home owners tips on how to repair and improve any home they might buy. There will also be special events for children.
Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity volunteers are also scheduled to construct a "mini-house" during the housing fair, which will later be donated to an area program that works with special-needs children.
