The Clayton State University School of Graduate Studies will be holding its next monthly informational Open House on Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 5:30 p.m., to 7 p.m., in room 101 in the University’s Harry S. Downs Center, on the main campus, in Morrow.

The 2011 Michael B. King Spelling Legal-Bee will be held on Saturday, Dec.17, at the National Archives, in Morrow. The spelling contest will begin at 9 a.m. The deadline for submitting registration forms is Friday, Dec. 16. There is no registration fee. The top spellers in the elementary school division, and middle school division will receive $150, and trophies. The second-through-seventh-place spellers will receive trophies, and $100, $75, $50, $25, $15, or $5, respectively.
Clayton State University Health Services (UHS) is offering flu shots for the Clayton State, and surrounding, communities. No appointment is necessary for the shots, which can be administered to individuals, age 3 and older. Costs for shots are: Clayton State students, faculty, staff, and family members –– $15.
