Henry County police arrested three people over the weekend, for allegedly stealing copper from a Stockbridge home.
Linda D. Thomas, Roy Israel Cooper, and Larry J. White, are accused of forcing their way into the home through a crawl space, basement door, and stealing copper. The incident took place Sunday, around 9:30 a.m., on Oak Drive, according to police. Thomas, of Jonesboro, Cooper, of Riverdale, and White, of Atlanta, appeared in Henry County Magistrate Court Monday, before Judge Robert Godwin. Judge Godwin set a $2,100 bond for Thomas, and a $27,500 bond for Cooper. He did not set a bond for White, and bound all three cases over to Henry County Superior Court. Thomas, 51, Cooper, 42, and White, 58, are charged with burglary, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, and criminal damage to property in the second degree. According to arrest warrants bearing the same information, Thomas, Cooper and White, "... did commit the offense of burglary [by] making forced entry to a crawl space and removing copper from within. The accused did commit the offense of possession of tools for the commission of a crime by being in possession of tools for the purpose of entering a locked crawl space at ... Oak Dr. The accused did commit the offense of Criminal Damage to property in the second degree by cutting the copper supply line connected to the [air conditioning] unit."More like this story
