Drew High School will be the headquarters, this Thanksgiving, for The Association of Christians Minister of Clayton Countys first Bread Breakfast event.
District officials said the ministers group will host the event in Clayton County for the south Metro Atlanta area on Thursday, Nov. 24 Thanksgiving day. Dinner, health screenings, warm clothes, and toiletry items are some of the things that will be provided.
In order to make sure the event goes off with out a hitch, the group is seeking partnerships and sponsorships, district officials said.
The following items are needed: Turkeys, canned yams, canned string beans, canned corn, frozen pumpkin or sweet potato pies, sweet tea, bottled water, boxed mash potatoes, and rice.
Also needed are: Styrofoam plates, cups, napkins, forks, spoons, knives, collection bins, and trash bags, as well as warm coats, socks, knit caps, gloves, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotion, feminine products, deodorant, and razors.
