Thomas Edward M. Wilson, 83, of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2011.
He was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., and graduated from LaFayette High School. He served in the U.S. Navy, 1947-1948. He then completed electronic schooling and came to Atlanta, where he worked for 38 years with Remington Rand-Sperry Univac. He was an active deacon and member of First Baptist Church of Morrow for 44 years.
Tom was the beloved husband of Vivian Heaton Wilson for 58 years. He is survived by a brother, George Wilson and wife, Faye; sons, Daniel T. Wilson and wife, Kathy, and Russell E. Wilson; granddaughters, Brittany Dye and husband, Chris, and Sarah Bledsoe and husband, Cory; and a great-grandson, Alexander Dye.
Funeral services will take place on Sunday, Nov. 20, at 4 p.m., at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, Fairview Chapel. Dr. William J. Lacy will officiate. The family will receive visitors at 3 p.m.
