Hicks leads ELCA to 61-6 win
Sebastian Hicks had an interception and two touchdowns to help lead No. 4 Eagle's Landing Christian to a 61-6 win at Whitefield Friday in a Region 5-A South game. Hicks, whose mother suffered a stroke earlier this week, scored on a blocked punt return and also had a 65-yard touchdown run as ELCA improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the subrgion. The Chargers also got two touchdowns a piece from quarterback Aaron Spratlin and running backs Keyante Green and John Tatum. Moody's 4 TDs pace Henry County to win Henry County quarterback Chris Moody accounted for four touchdowns in the Warhawks' 49-7 win over Locust Grove in a Region 4-AAA contest. He had two rushing touchdowns and two passing scores in the win. Senior running back Jonathan Jean-Bart also had a pair of touchdowns, including a 100-yard kickoff return to open the second half. Mount Zion tames Mundy's Mill Mount Zion quarterback Montel Buchanan connected with DeAnthony Franklin for a touchdown pass play to give the Bulldogs a 14-12 win in the Region 4-AAAA contest at Twelve Oaks Stadium. Tigers quarterback Darius Sizemore threw a touchdown pass, but a two-point conversion failed in their attempt to tie the game. Mundy's Mill took the early 6-0 lead on a 2-yard run by Keith Kent. The Bulldogs scored 14 unanswered points to take the lead. Spalding escapes with 7-3 win at Eagle's Landing A 43-yard field goal by Mike Baxter was all the scoring that Eagle's Landing could manage in its loss to visiting Spalding to fall to 1-5 overall and 0-4 in Region 4-AAA.More like this story
