Clayton County police charged an Atlanta man in a crash Sunday that killed one passenger and injured two others.
Darmane Lindsey, 33, is being held in the Clayton County Jail pending his first appearance this afternoon in Magistrate Court. Lindsey is charged with vehicular homicide in the first degree, serious injury by vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving and driving on a suspended license.
The arrest warrant alleges that Lindsey was speeding along Flat Shoals Road in College Park, lost control of the 2007 Dodge he was driving and hit several trees. The vehicle landed upside down, states the warrant, and Lindsey fled the scene on foot.
Passenger Cynthia Harris, 36, died, according to the warrant. Catherine Ray, 37 and Clark Johnson, 28, also passengers, were seriously injured.
