Residents in a Stockbridge neighborhood will be able to hear from 10 candidates vying to lead their city's government.
A town hall forum is scheduled for Thursday, from 7 p.m., to 9 p.m., in the clubhouse of the Monarch Village subdivision.
Three Stockbridge City Council incumbents are seeking to retain their seats in the municipal election scheduled for Nov. 8. Those scheduled to appear are Mayor Pro Tem Kathy Gilbert, Councilwoman Shirley Dabney, and Councilman Fred Evans.
They face opposition from Robin Buschman, Alphonso Thomas, Rashida Cloud, Beverly Edwards, Houston Nelson, Richard Steinberg, and Charles Reid.
The event is designed for Monarch Village residents only, and not the public, said Anthony Ford, president of the community's Homeowners Association. Call Ford at (770) 596-3842.
