Sylvia Joan Allen Evans
Mrs. Sylvia Joan Allen Evans, 59, of Hahira, Ga., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011.
Mrs. Evans was born on Sept. 21, 1952, in Newnan, to the late Ernest Coleman Allen and the late Mattie Ruth Boyd Allen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Evans; sister, Velva Jean Allen; brothers, Raymond Allen and Jerry Allen.
Mrs. Evans is survived by her son, Billy Joe Allen; sisters, Carolyn Hulsey, Barbara Tommey, Janice Walker; brother, Jim Ray “Big Jim” Allen; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sylvia Evans will be conducted on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Brother Roger Pearlheart will officiate.
Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family TODAY (Tuesday), from 6 p.m., until 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
