Eagle’s Landing Christian running back Keyante Green rushed for two touchdowns in the fourth-ranked Chargers’ homecoming win over Strong Rock Christian last week.
Trae Bonner, Luella: The sophomore had six carries for 66 yards and a pass reception in the Lions’ Region 2-AAAAA loss to M.L. King. He also had nine tackles to lead the defense, including five solo tackles, a pass breakup and forced a fumble. On special teams, he had an 84-yard touchdown, the seventh-longest in school history. His 49-yard average on kickoff returns is the fifth-best average in school history.
Travis Custis, Lovejoy: The junior running back had 64 yards on six carries and three touchdowns in a Region 4-AAAA win over Mount Zion.
Derrick Craine, Union Grove: The junior running back had 154 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries in a subregion win over Dutchtown. On defense, he had eight solo tackles.
Quinton Edwards, Jonesboro: The junior linebacker had 12 tackles and two sacks in the Cardinals’ homecoming win over Mundy’s Mill.
Eugene Fuller, Lovejoy: The junior linebacker had a 45-yard interception return for a touchdown as the No. 9 Wildcats recorded their fourth shutout of the season in a win over Mount Zion.
Keyante Green, ELCA: The junior running back had 70 yards rushing and two touchdowns in a Region 5-A South win over Strong Rock.
Jermaine Hough, Lovejoy: The senior defensive back had seven tackles, four assists and an interception returned for a 35-yard touchdown in a win over Mount Zion.
Terrell Jordan, Drew: The linebacker had six solo tackles, and 13 total in leading the defense in a win over Eastside. He also had a 55-yard interception return for a touchdown.
Lovejoy’s special teams: The Wildcats’ punt pressure team blocked two kicks. Brandon Rush recovered one punt for a 5-yard touchdown.
Reise McDaniel, Luella: The senior had three receptions for 74 yards and two touchdowns in the Lions’ near-upset of No. 4 M.L. King. He had touchdown receptions of 44 and 23 yards.
Malcolm Miller, Woodland: The running back had 126 yards rushing on 25 carries in the Wolfpack win over Ola in a Region 3-AAAA Div. A game.
Jay Murray, Drew: In leading the Titans to a Region 4-AAA win over Eastside, the junior quarterback was 9 of 13 for 144 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed six times for 32 yards.
Taylor Poff, Woodland: The quarterback completed 12 of 24 passes for 131 yards in a Region 3-AAAA, Div. A win over Ola.
Jonathan Selfe, Union Grove: The junior quarterback had 100 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries in a win over Dutchtown.
Rodney Singleton, Jonesboro: The running back had 86 yards on 12 carries and a touchdown in a win over Mundy’s Mill in a Region 4-AAAA contest. He also had two catches for 17 yards. On defense, the strong safety recorded five tackles.
Bradley Street, Drew: The senior wide receiver/defensive back had six receptions for 139 yards, including a 55-yard touchdown catch in a win over Eastside. He also had two pass breakups.
Cameron Sutton, Jonesboro: The junior wide receiver/cornerback had two receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown in a Region 4-AAAA win over Mundy’s Mill. He also had two carries for 11 yards. On defense, he recorded three tackles.
John Tatum, ELCA: In the Chargers’ homecoming win over Strong Rock, the senior running back had 68 yards rushing and two touchdowns.
Union Grove offensive line: As a unit, they provided blocking to amass 254 yards on the ground and four touchdowns in a 28-8 win over Dutchtown.
Tyler Vaughn, Union Grove: In helping hold Dutchtown to just eight points, the nose guard accounted for eight tackles, including one for a loss. He also had sack and three quarterback pressures in the win.
