Dorothy P. Thigpen
Mrs. Dorothy P. Thigpen, 83, of Jonesboro, died Oct. 14, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, William Lanier (Jeff) Thigpen; and her daughters, Charlene Agostinelli, Kamella Shaw; her grandchildren, Amber Shaw, Amanda Shaw, Michael Reynolds, Harold Reynolds, Jr., and Cherylynn Renee Smith.
She is survived by her children, Gerald E. Thigpen, Joe L. Thigpen, Richard B. Thigpen, and Phyllis E. Smith; 20 grandchildren and 20-plus great-grandchildren.
The funeral for Mrs. Thigpen was held on Monday, Oct. 17, 201l, in the Morrow Chapel of Pope Dickson & Son, with Bill Burton, Jackie Bradford and Randall Jackson officiating.
Interment followed in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family received friends at the funeral home on Sunday, Oct. 16. Pope Dickson & Son, Morrow Chapel, (770) 961-2700.
