Photo by Derrick Mahone Drew coach Jarrett Laws has been honored by the Atlanta Falcons as the Coach of the Week.
The Atlanta Falcons have recognized Mount Zion offensive lineman Jahkeem Forrester and Drew coach Jarrett Laws.
Forrester, a 255-pound senior, was given the Captain in the Community award. Laws was named the Coach of the Week by the NFL franchise for his team’s 39-14 win over Eagle’s Landing. Each week of the season, the winner of this award will receive a plaque signed by Falcons Head Coach Mike Smith and a $1,000 grant from the NFL’s Youth Football Fund to his school's athletic department. The coaching staff will also receive Coach of the Week sweat suits along with Coach of the Week t-shirts for members of the football team.More like this story
