Oct. 22

At Perfecting The Saints Church International, 1009 Ga. 19/U.S. 41, in Hampton, Dear Daughter –– a division of the church –– is hosting its second annual Fall Fashion Show Extravaganza Saturday, Oct. 22, from 2 p.m., to 5 p.m. The church is looking for adult models. “No experience is necessary. Dixon Grove Baptist Church, 7690 Fielder Road, Jonesboro, will kick off its annual men’s day celebration Saturday, Oct. 22., at 9 a.m. The speaker will be Elder Wallace Baker, pastor of Word Reconciliation COGIC, Riverdale. At Forest Park First Baptist Church, 634 Main St., Forest Park, VIP Ministries will meet Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 10:45 a.m., in the church Fellowship Hall. Senior adults are welcome to join in the fellowship, lunch and a special program of interest to senior citizens. Meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of each month with the exception of December. First Christian Church of Jonesboro, 2272 Walt Stevens Road, will hold a Halloween event for the whole family Oct. 31, from 6 p.m., to 8 p.m. Children can come in costumes and are sure to walk away with plenty of candy. Jodeco Road United Methodist Church, 1500 Jodeco Road, Stockbridge, will hold a barbecue and fall festival Saturday, Nov. 5, from 11 a.m., to 5 p.m. Tickets are $8 a plate and are available for dine-in or carry out. There will be a bake sale, inside craft fair and outside yard sale. A booth for the craft fair can be rented for $10.
