A Decatur man sought in Fulton County on an outstanding manslaughter warrant, was arrested in Riverdale during a traffic stop, said Clayton County Sheriff's Lt. Brian Crisp.
Quentin Marcell Byrd, 35, was pulled over near Ga. 85 and Roberts Drive for not wearing his seatbelt, said Crisp. A check of the Georgia Criminal Information Center turned up the outstanding warrant.
He was also cited for a seatbelt violation.
Crisp said Byrd was taken into custody without incident and held in the Clayton County Jail for about 12 hours before being transferred to the Fulton County Jail.
Fulton Jail records show that Byrd is being held without bond on a single charge of voluntary manslaughter.
Clayton court records show that Byrd paid a fine in 2008 for driving without his license. Several months later, a grand jury declined to indict Byrd on charges of simple battery, criminal damage to property and obstructing a 911 call.
