Registration is ongoing for a program that provides instruction for the care of new, and expectant mothers.
Henry Medical Center will host its 14th Annual High Risk Obstetrical Nursing Seminar, Nov. 9, from 8 a.m., to 3:30 p.m.
The cost to register is $30, for non-Henry Medical Center employees, and $5 for unlicensed nursing students.
Scheduled topics are high-risk referrals, sleep apnea, and ethical dilemmas regarding labor and delivery.
The 215-bed, not-for-profit hospital developed the seminar “to broaden knowledge of current concepts and trends related to the care of patients in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, newborn and neonatal intensive care settings,” said HMC Public Relations Specialist Michelle Nunnally.
“Nurses in full attendance can earn 6.0 educational contact hours,” she said. “Submission of [an] evaluation form is required for successful seminar completion.”
The seminar will be held in the hospital’s Foundation Education Center.
Registration and breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m., and parking is free.
