Clayton State University’s New York Times Talk will take up the subject of bullying. On Thursday, Oct. 27, from 11:30 a.m., to 12:30 p.m., in room UC267 of the James M. Baker University Center, Assistant Professor of Psychology Sam Maddox will facilitate a New York Times Talk, entitled, “Now you see me, now you don’t: The complex nature of bullying.”
Clayton State University’s Small Business Development Center will be holding a “Starting a Business” class on Thursday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m., to noon, at the Griffin Spalding Chamber of Commerce/Griffin Welcome Center, 143 N. Clayton State University Health Services is hosting the Annual Sexual Healing Health Fair for HIV & STD Awareness on Thursday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m., to 2 p.m. The Health Fair locations are in the James M. Baker University Center on Main Street, by Swan Lake, in back of the University Center –– the Lecture Hall, and Laker Hall. University Health Services will be providing free testing for Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, and HIV. There will be free prizes for those who get tested.

A celebrity basketball event will sponsored by Dion Glover “Hoops for Hope” as part of the stop the bullying tour, Sunday, Oct. 30, at 4 p.m., at Riverdale High School, located at 160 Roberts Drive in Riverdale. Clayton State University Health Services (UHS) is offering flu shots for the Clayton State, and surrounding, communities. No appointment is necessary for the shots, which can be administered to individuals, age 3 and older. Costs for shots are: Clayton State students, faculty, staff, and family members, $15.
