Retail gas prices continue decline this week

The price of retail unleaded gasoline continues its downward slope in the state of Georgia, according to a spokesperson for AAA Auto Club South. Jessica Brady said Georgia's average unleaded gas price is $3.26 a gallon, compared to last week's average price of $3.35 per gallon. This is a 9-cent decrease.

Domestic violence awareness event set for Thursday

Henry County Police have responded to 980 cases of domestic violence so far in 2011. Of that total, four ended in deaths. In light of those, and related numbers, county officials are launching Domestic Violence Awareness Month with a ceremony on the McDonough Square, Thursday.
