Stockbridge quarterback Leon Prunty ran for two scores and passed for another two touchdowns in leading the Tigers to a 62-0 win over North Springs in a non-region game Friday.
With the win, the Tigers improved to 2-0 on the season heading into its bye week. This is the first time that Stockbridge has started the season with two wins since winning four straight to start the 2007 season.
Malik Bryant had a 75-yard run and Tevin Curley had a 35-yard reception to help pace the offense. Jayshun Allen had eight tackles and two sacks to pace the defense.
North Springs, which now has a 15-game losing streak, has been outscored 119-6 in its first two games.
This was a homecoming of sorts for Stockbridge coach Kevin Whitley, who coached the Spartans from 2001-02.
