The Big Bang Theory –– Creation Of The Universe - Jim Bell

Scientists, for centuries, denied there ever was a time of creation of the universe. They said there was no beginning, that the universe is eternal, that it has always been in existence and had no birth or time when it became the universe. The popular belief was that the universe was static and eternal.

It was in 1916, when Dr. Albert Einstein calculated his theory of General Relativity, which, if true, means that the universe was not eternal but had a beginning. His calculations were revealing a definite beginning to all time, all matter, and all space. This theory proved there was a beginning and there will be an end of the universe.

Other scientists conducted experiments that proved and confirmed that General Relativity was, in fact, true. These experiments are scientific confirmation of the beginning of the universe, facts that the Genesis account in the Holy Bible of God's creation of the earth and the universe had been teaching for thousands of years!

This beginning has been labeled the "Big Bang Theory," which has been proved many experiments and calculations, and actually seen Dr. Hubble and Dr. Einstein through the Hubble telescope, and the moving away of the waves of radiation as the universe continues to expand.

Many others also confirm this truth, so it cannot be logically denied. Robert Wilson, a scientist of great note, was once asked; "Is the Big Bang Theory evidence indicative of a Creator?" He said, "Certainly, there was something that set it off. Certainly, if you are religious, I can't think of a better theory of the origin of the universe to match with Genesis."

I must admit that at one time I thought of The Big Bang Theory as something atheists had come up with. I was thinking, God is eternal, Heaven is eternal, so the universe must be eternal as well. I remember saying that The Big Bang Theory was like blowing up a spare-parts store and having it turned into a new Cadillac!

I was correct about God and Heaven and certainly Eternal life, but I was wrong about the universe and our earth being eternal. The Bible clearly teaches that the world will come to the end and be destroyed. Revelation 21:1 says: "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away and there was no more sea."

Jesus said in Matthew 5:18: "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the Law, till all be fulfilled."

As Christians, we do not need evidence or proof of God's Word, because we believe His Holy Word, the Bible, and have faith and trust in Him that He is the creator of heaven and earth and all life, including our own. We believe that Jesus Christ is coming again after we are raptured, and He will make all things new.

If you are reading this article and are not sure you will go to heaven when you die, please know God loves you and wants you to have faith in Him through Jesus Christ. He has already paid the price for your sin and waits for you to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. You can do this repenting of your sin. This means you admit your sin to God in prayer, and ask for His forgiveness.

If you sincerely pray this prayer, God will honor your faith in Jesus and will forgive your sin. Romans 3:23 says: "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 6:23 says: "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life."

Please determine to place your faith and trust in Jesus Christ today! Time is important! Do you know how much you have left? I'm praying that Jesus will come soon! I pray you will respond to Him today!
