Clayton County police have charged a Riverdale man after they found the body of a woman Monday morning inside his Lexington Court home.
Police said two children were found alive but tied up inside the same home.
Suspect William Nazario, 33, allegedly abducted a third child from the home, prompting a Levi's Call from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, said spokesman John Bankhead.
Several hours later, Nazario and the child, Aliyah Walton, 9, were found in Bartow County. Clayton County Police Sgt. Otis Willis III said the child was unharmed and Nazario was taken into custody. Clayton County police detectives flew up to Bartow County in the department helicopter to confirm the child had been found, said Bankhead.
Nazario was charged Monday evening with false imprisonment and aggravated sodomy. Willis said Nazario is also a person of interest in the murder investigation of the death of the woman found inside the home.
Willis said the body and the two children, 12 and 4, were found when police answered a call to check on the residents.
Clayton County fire officials confirmed that emergency personnel transported the two children from the scene. Their conditions were unknown.
The identity of the woman was not immediately released by Clayton County police.
