Clayton County police said they caught a College Park man late Saturday night in the act of breaking into an elementary school.
Police responded to an audible alarm at West Clayton Elementary School in College Park and reportedly found Kevin Jovon Reaves, 33, trying to pry open a window. Officers said they found a CD player and projector marked ";Property of West Clayton Elementary"; on the ground near Reaves.
Officers found Reaves entered the school through another window and damaged five others trying to pry them open.
Reaves has been charged with burglary, interference with government property and possession of tools for the commission of a crime. He made his first appearance in Clayton Magistrate Court where a judge set his bond at $50,000. He is being held in the Clayton County Jail.
