Glenda Ann Vaughan
Mrs. Glenda Ann Vaughan, 67, of Jonesboro, passed away on Tuesday, Aug, 30, 2011at her residence. Mrs. Vaughan was born in Rome, Ga., on May 6, 1944, to the late Willie Mige Garrnett and the late Edna Odell Garrnett. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Betty Darnell. Survivors include daughters, Lisa Heath, of Williamson, Tina Wells, of Dublin, Misty Slappey, of Griffin; son, Grady Vaughan, of Acworth; grandchildren, Brandon Burel, Madison Heath, Corey Bigbie, Austin Vaughan, Rob Wells, Justin Toney, Dylan, Devan and Danielle Slappy; great-grandchildren, Haley Burel, Lennon Bigbie; brother-in-law, Terry Darnell, of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit the family TODAY (Thursday), from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorial services will be conducted on Friday, Sept. 2, at 4 p.m., at DeVotie Baptist Church. The Rev. Rusty Griffith will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
