Jean Backus
Mrs. Jean Backus, 66, entered into rest on Monday, Sept. 19, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Willie Evans Mullinax and Myrtle Barrett.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Jim Backus; daughters, Tina (Eddie) Dukes, and Pam (Gene) White; two grandchildren, Bobby Dukes and John Dukes; sisters, Toni and Diane.
The family will receive friends TODAY (Wednesday, Sept. 21), from 2 p.m., to 4 p.m., and 6 p.m., to 8 p.m., at Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Ave., Jonesboro, Ga., 30236, (770) 471-7171.
Services honoring Mrs. Backus will be held on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 11 a,m., in the chapel of the funeral home, with the Rev. Joe Mauthe officiating. Online condolences may be made at: www.taragardenchapelfuneralhome.com.
