CSU to hold bargain book sale

Many people are all about savings nowadays.

Clayton State University's Loch Shop will hold a "Bargain Book Blowout" sale starting next week at the shop located on the first floor of CSU's Student Center, 2000 Clayton State Blvd., in Morrow, said CSU spokesman John Shiffert.

"In the bargain books section we currently have a good number of titles in popular fiction and non-fiction, cookbooks, children's books, etc., with a shipment of new titles due to arrive by next Monday," added Todd Smith, store manager of the Loch Shop.

He said the shipment will include books in various categories such as classics, literature, history, games, humor and poetry. "We will likely have more than 400 individual titles in quantities of three or more by the start of the sale," he said.

The sale will take place on Sept. 28, Sept. 29, Oct. 3 and Oct. 4, from 8 a.m., to 7 p.m., said Shiffert. On Sept. 30 it will take place from 8 a.m., to 3:30 p.m.

He said the shop already offers a wide selection of bargain books, which are already discounted up to 80 percent off of the publisher's list price. The bargain book sale will give customers a chance to purchase these books for an additional 25 percent off. "Hundreds of titles from numerous categories will be available, many starting at just $1.99 before the additional discount," he explained.

Shiffert said the bargain book additional discount is not valid on prior purchases and may not be combined with coupons or discount offers. Customers will have a limit of two copies per title and no refunds or exchanges on discounted books, he said.
