Creekside at Jonesboro

When, where: Today, 7:30 p.m., Twelve Oaks Stadium, Lovejoy.

Records, rankings: Creekside is 2-2, Jonesboro 3-0.

Last meeting: Creekside won 16-13 last season.

Noteworthy: The Berrys are back in full effect for Creekside. In a 21-7 win over Mount Zion last week, Evan Berry threw for 268 yards last week while Elliot Berry had three sacks. The Seminoles might have won by much more had it not been for five turnovers. . . . Jonesboro’s special teams accounted for two touchdowns in a 32-0 win over Forest Park last week. Cameron Sutton, who also caught a touchdown pass, scored one of the special teams TDs, returning a punt 76 yards for a touchdown.

Eagle’s Landing at Stockbridge

Records, rankings: Eagle’s Landing is 1-3, Stockbridge is 3-0 and ranked No. 9 by Georgia High School Football Daily, No. 10 by

Last meeting: Stockbridge won 41-0 last season.

Noteworthy: Stockbridge’s defense held Spalding to 132 total yards in a 31-7 victory last week, which is part of the reason why the Tigers are ranked for the first time since 1968. . . . Eagle’s Landing is looking for its first victory against Stockbridge since 2005. The Golden Eagles have lost three straight in the series.

Eagle’s Landing Christian at First Presbyterian Day

When, where: Today, 7:30 p.m., George S. Johnson Memorial Stadium, Macon.

Records, rankings: ELCA is 2-1, ranked No. 4 in Class A by First Presbyterian is 3-1.

Last meeting: ELCA won 35-0 last season.

Noteworthy: This is the Region 5-A South opener for Eagle's Landing Christian, which is bad news for First Presbyterian because the Chargers have won 14 straight region games. . . . Brooks Stroud ran for one touchdown and threw for another in a 28-10 win over Strong Rock Christian last week. . . . This is FPD’s second season in the Georgia High School Association after playing in the Georgia Independent Schools Association.

East Coweta at Luella

When, where: Today, 7:30 p.m., Luella High Stadium, Locust Grove.

Records, rankings: East Coweta and Luella are each 3-0, with East Coweta ranked No. 10 in Class AAAAA.

Last meeting: East Coweta won 21-6 last season.

Noteworthy: Luella plays its first region game, and first game against Class AAAAA competition, after a 21-day layoff. ... Cole Trolinger was Mr. Fumble Recovery for East Coweta last week in a 33-0 rout of Troup. He recovered a teammate's fumble in the end zone for a touchdown, then recovered a Troup fumble to set up the Indians' final first-half touchdown.

Henry County at Sandy Creek

When, where: Today, 7:30 p.m., The Battlefield, Tyrone.

Records, rankings: Henry County is 2-1, Sandy Creek is 3-0 and ranked No. 1 in Class AAA.

Last meeting: Sandy Creek won 42-21 last season.

Noteworthy: Henry County got the ball inside Sandy Creek’s 10 three times last season, failing to score on any — a good reason why the Warhawks lost by three touchdowns. . . . Sandy Creek, Class AAAA champion in 2009, Class AAA champion in 2010, has won 32 in a row. . . . Sandy Creek's Shaquille Wiggins intercepted three passes last week in a 35-0 rout of Drew.

Jackson at Locust Grove

When, where: Today, 7:30 p.m., Locust Grove High, Locust Grove.

Records, rankings: Jackson and Locust Grove are each 1-3 and neither is ranked.

Last meeting: Jackson won 20-13 last season.

Noteworthy: Keenan Wise threw for 250 yards and three touchdowns — two to Chris Owens — in Locust Grove's 28-14 win over Eagle's Landing last week. . . . Jackson’s defense played a great game against Eastside, a 2010 playoff team, before losing 10-7 on a field goal with 2.3 seconds left. Conversely, Locust Grove lost by three touchdowns and surrendered 35 points against the same team.

Jones County at Ola

When, where: Today, 7:30 p.m., Ola High, McDonough.

Records, rankings: Jones County is 1-3, Ola is 0-4.

Last meeting: Jones County won 42-7 last season.

Noteworthy: Jones County’s Undre Williams had 188 yards on 31 carries in the Greyhounds’ stunning win over Griffin last week. . . . Ola’s taking its lumps in a rebuilding season, and Dutchtown was plenty happy to extend the Mustangs' slump in a 50-20 victory last week.

Lovejoy at Banneker

When, where: Today, 7:30 p.m., Banneker High, College Park.

Records, rankings: Lovejoy is 3-0, Banneker is 4-0.

Last meeting: Lovejoy won 28-14 last season.

Noteworthy: Travis Custis had more carries result in touchdowns (four) than didn’t (three) in a 71-0 rout of Morrow. . . . Tyrell Brown rushed for 251 yards on 33 carries last week in a 22-12 win over Mundy's Mill. . . . Lovejoy has shut out two consecutive opponents, but Banneker has not been shut out in a game since Stephenson accomplished the feat 29-0 on Aug. 31, 2007.

Mundy’s Mill at Tri-Cities

When, where: Today, 7:30 p.m., The Doghouse, East Point.

Records, rankings: Mundy’s Mill is 1-3, Tri-Cities is 3-1.

Last meeting: Tri-Cities won 41-6 last season.

Noteworthy: While Tri-Cities is racking up the points, averaging over 35 a game, if Mundy's Mill is to win it'll likely have to be because of its defense. The Tigers are averaging only 9.3 points a game, and that includes one game in which they got more than half their points — a 20-0 win over Morrow.

North Clayton vs. Morrow

When, where: Today, 7:30 p.m., Southern Crescent Stadium, Riverdale.

Records, rankings: North Clayton is 2-1, Morrow is 0-4.

Last meeting: North Clayton won 49-0 last season.

Noteworthy: North Clayton has had two weeks to go back to the drawing board after getting roughed up by Lovejoy 24-0, the first time it had been shut out in 85 games. . . . Speaking of shutouts, Morrow is still in search of its first points of the season. The Mustangs are enduring their longest scoreless stretch since the 1970 team was shut out in seven straight games to open the season.

Riverdale vs. Mount Zion

When, where: Today, 7:30 p.m., Tara Stadium, Jonesboro.

Records, rankings: Riverdale is 1-3, Mount Zion is 1-2.

Last meeting: Mount Zion won 35-7 on the field, a result later reversed by forfeit.

Noteworthy: Riverdale must get back to defense, which first-year coach Olten Downs likes to emphasize. After the first two weeks, in which they surrendered only seven points, the Raiders have allowed 69 points in back-to-back losses to Banneker and Tri-Cities. . . . Mount Zion will need a big game from Keith Darnell on a defense that must keep the Raiders in check to have a chance.

Southwest Atlanta Christian at Strong Rock Christian

When, where: Today, 7:30 p.m., Strong Rock Christian, Locust Grove.

Records, rankings: SACA is 0-3, Strong Rock Christian is 2-2.

Last meeting: SACA won 26-23 last season.

Noteworthy: Zach Moss had a 68-yard touchdown run against First Presbyterian Day last week, the Patriots' sole touchdown in a 28-10 loss. . . . Originally, this was supposed to be a Southwest Atlanta Christian home game, but the Warriors haven't played a home game all season and their attempts to get one at Kiwanis Stadium in Forest Park failed.

Woodland at Union Grove

When, where: Today, 7:30 p.m., Wolverines Stadium, McDonough.

Records, rankings: Woodland is 1-2, Union Grove is 1-3.

Last meeting: Union Grove won 14-7 in overtime last season.

Noteworthy: Woodland's Alex James had 10 solo tackles, caused a fumble, recovered another fumble and broke up a pass last week against Carrollton. . . . Union Grove’s defense held Alcovy to 23 yards rushing on 35 carries last week, but lost 20-17 in overtime. Derrick Craine had 136 yards rushing in that game. . . . The Wolverines' attempt to get D.J. White the ball more resulted in his scoring on a 30-yard run.
