William Thomas “Tom” Hinote, of Rex, Ga., was called to his eternal home on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011. Tom was born in Cook County, Ga. on May 8, 1941, to Carrie Wilkes Hinote, and the late William Luther Hinote.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Hilda Hinote, of Rex, Ga., mother Carrie Goins, of Conley, Ga., children, David Hinote, of Griffin, Ga., Carrie Sue “Susie” Hinote Sorrell, of Gainesville, Ga., Tim Grizzle, of Locust Grove, Ga., Donnie Grizzle, of Dahlonega, Ga., Tammy Yates, of Locust Grove, Ga.; siblings, Marcille Whitley, of Louisville, Ky., Cheryl and Terry Farley, of Conley, Ga., 15 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hinote proudly served in the United States Navy from 1958, until 1968. He was employed at the Ford Motor Company for 30 years and was a member of United Auto Workers Union Local 882. He was preceded in death by his step-father Mr. Harry Francis Goins.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 2 p.m.
