Irene McGiboney Davis

Irene McGiboney Davis, 86, of Forest Park, passed away Sept. 26, 2011.

Mrs. Davis was a retired production assistant at Gordon Foods, and was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church of Morrow. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, George Carswell Davis.

Survivors include her sons, George Terrell Davis (Rudine), of Sandy Springs, and Stephen Carswell Davis (Martha), of Duluth; grandsons, Christopher Stephen Davis (Beth), of Sandy Springs, and Timothy Sean Davis (Lisa), of Arlington, Va.; great-granddaughter, Lydia Catherine Davis, also of Sandy Springs; sisters, Mildred Joost, of Conyers, and Dorothy Vickery, of Zephyr Hills, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews and their extended families.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 30, at the First United Methodist Church of Morrow, with Dr. Ed Judy officiating. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends, from 5 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, at the funeral home –– Pope Dickson and Son, Morrow Chapel, (770) 961-2700.
