Dutchtown 4, Woodland 1
HAMPTON — The Bulldogs rebounded from a disappointing loss by finishing out its season with a critical victory.
Coming off a 2-1 loss to Ola before spring break that ruined any chance for Dutchtown to get the top seed out of Region 3A-AAAA, the Bulldogs got three goals from senior forward Judah Goodridge. Ryan Kangiser added another goal.
Dutchtown ends the regular season 7-3-0 overall, 4-2-0 in Region 3A-AAAA. The Bulldogs will be the No. 2 seed when the region playoffs begin Tuesday, April 17.
Newnan 6, Luella 2
LOCUST GROVE — The Lions got goals from freshmen and leading scorers Christian Duncan and Trey Fench, but it wasn’t enough against the Cougars in a Region 2-AAAAA game Tuesday.
The loss gives Luella (6-6, 5-2 in Region 2-AAAAA) a No. 3 seed when the state tournament begins May 1.
