A 14-year-old M.D. Roberts Middle School student, who is autistic, went missing for more than five hours Wednesday afternoon before he was found unhurt at the Walmart shopping center in Stockbridge.
According to the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office, Christopher Robinson walked off the school’s premises located at 1905 Walt Stephens Road in Jonesboro at 12:30 p.m.
Deputies conducted a search for the teenager at the school that carried into the early evening, until he was located a the Walmart, 5.3 miles from the school, at 5600 North Henry Blvd.
Deputies said they believe Robinson was trying to find his way home in Riverdale. The teenager was reunited with his family.
