Investigators from the Clayton County District Attorney’s Office took finance records from the county’s archives on Tuesday as part of an ongoing investigation into possible public corruption, according to the office’s top prosecutor.
District Attorney Tracy Graham Lawson said the investigators executed a search warrant at the archives, to collect archived versions of similar records they collected last week at the Clayton County Finance Office. The records are being sought for a special grand jury that Lawson established last spring to look into
possible corruption among government officials.
Lawson has declined to specify what they are looking for in the finance records, but complaints against Clayton County Finance Director Angela Jackson were filed with Lawson’s office early last year. The complaints claimed that Jackson had the cell phone records for county commissioners shredded after citizens asked for them through open records requests.
The records were believed to possibly show contact between commissioners and then-county fleet maintenance director, Wade Starr, who is now the county manager.

......What I like most our Ms. Traci DA; She don't play favorites and she makes sure that our Constitution is defended against all those in our Government that opposes it by ill means.
.....Our DA is the measuring stick of justice in our county.
....Big change in our District Attorney's Office, from the last administration !!!
......The Law Abiding Residents of Clayton County should be PROUD !!!!!
.......It's obvious that she is a head strong, hard working, dedicated, and loyal a servant to the justice of this county......I can only wish that this county would have more like her.

...I hope that this will lead to the results, as to why wasteful spending led to the raising of our county taxes in our county.
