Mr. Ronald Coleman Brown, 77, of Jonesboro, passed away, April 17, 2012. He was retired from the Clayton County Board of Commissioners as a maintenance technician. He was a member of First Baptist Church Jonesboro for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert J. Brown. He is survived by his wife Violet “Vi” Brown of Jonesboro; children Ronald C. (Sharon) Brown Jr., Cynthia Brown, (Robert W.) Pamela Stavrakas, Cheryl Ann Brown, all of North Carolina; brothers Frank C. (Doris) Brown, Jr., of McDonough, Richard D. (Jan) Brown, of Gainesville, Joseph M. Brown, of Hampton; sisters Macie Brown Lewis, of Jonesboro, Martha (Randall) Ellis, of Alabama, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 19 at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. The Rev. Irvin Pearre and Chaplain Don Daly will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 18 from 5 p.m., to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be at Jonesboro City Cemetery.
