So far this season, Tom DeLoach’s Red Horse Racing team has captured four wins on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

But the Statesboro native and Georgia Tech graduate is looking for something that has eluded his race team.

DeLoach has never had a truck win on a 1.5-mile track, and he has never been victorious at Atlanta Motor Speedway. He hopes to change all of that tonight in the Jeff Foxworthy’s Grit Chips 200.

“I’m going to have a lot of friends and business associates in Atlanta,” DeLoach said. “It would definitely be great to win there.”

DeLoach’s team has enough talent to do it.

His Toyota Tundras truck team features current points leader Timothy Peters and Parker Kligerman, who is fifth in the points standing. The team also features two-time former champion Todd Bodine.

“We have a good team assembled,” DeLoach said.

Peters is coming off a stylist win last week in the UNOH 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway. He became the first driver since 1997 to lead all the laps en route to the win, heading into AMS.

“It’s an awesome feeling to go out there and lead every lap like that,” Peters said in a statement. “These races are so hard to win anyway, and to do it in that fashion is just unbelievable. This Red Horse Racing team works so hard to give me fast Toyota Tundras like I had here tonight and I can't thank them enough. When you have a team like we do, with the work ethic and attitude that they have, it just pushes me to perform that much better.”
