JONESBORO— Clayton County police issued a Mattie’s Call Friday for an endangered adult.
Jerry Gentry was last seen Thursday about 9 a.m. when his caretaker dropped him off to visit a friend at Stockbridge Lowe’s Improvement Store. Police said his caretaker contacted police when Gentry failed repeatedly to answer his phone.
Gentry, 42, has been diagnosed with intermediate mental retardation, explosive disorder and bipolar schizophrenia. He is about 6 feet tall, weighs about 240 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.
The caretaker told police Gentry would often visit his friend at Lowe’s at 3505 Mt. Zion Road but Gentry would usually call the caretaker when he was ready to leave.
Anyone with information about Genry’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the police department at 770-477-3650.
