MCDONOUGH — A missing Clayton County woman has reportedly been found dead inside her car, said police.
Clayton County police Sgt. Kevin Hughes said Carlisa Lawson was found dead inside her 2001 Chevrolet Suburban about 11 p.m. Tuesday in McDonough.
Police had been looking for Lawson since she was last seen Nov. 19 taking her daughter to work in McDonough.
Hughes said Tuesday that Lawson sent out text messages to relatives telling them she loved them. The last documented location of her cell phone and vehicle was in the McDonough area off Jonesboro Road, he said.
Hughes said McDonough police is investigating the cause of death. McDonough Chief Preston Dorsey said the case is still under investigation.
"We're not ready to release any information," said Dorsey.
