Outlaw busted in drug search

REX — Clayton County Police undercover narcotics officers and members of the Strategic Methods Against Street Harms (SMASH) unit swarmed onto a Rex neighborhood looking for drugs.

The officers targeted five homes on Rally Court around 3:30 p.m., Wednesday in response to numerous complaints of drug activity in the subdivision, said Clayton County Police Lt. Scott Stubbs.

Nearly 16 officers broken up into teams searched three of the five homes for illegal drugs.

Police arrested Duraontae Outlaw, 20, of Rex an charged him with giving a false name to police. A man was given a citation and charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
