JONESBORO Time is ticking for small businesses to be nominated for the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year award.
The chamber’s Small Business Development Group announced Wednesday it is accepting nominations for the award until Dec. 19. The award will be presented at the Chamber of Commerce’s 59th Annual Banquet in late January.
To win the award, a business must have been a chamber member in good standing for at least one year, be located in Clayton County, been in operation for at least three years and have no more than 50 employees, according to the nomination form. Past recipients of the award, as well as a Clayton State University School of Business representative, will evaluate the candidates and choose a winner.
Nomination forms can be found on the chamber’s website, www.claytonchamber.org/.
