JONESBORO Most public offices and even the Clayton News Daily’s office will be closed for at least the first half of next week because of Christmas.
All county offices and buildings will be closed Monday and Tuesday. That includes the county courthouse, elections office, tax assessors office, libraries and parks and recreation facilities.
Clayton News Daily’s office in Jonesboro will also be closed on those days. Cities that will close their offices on both Monday and Tuesday include Forest Park, Jonesboro, Lake City, Lovejoy, Morrow and Riverdale.
The Riverdale City Council has also canceled its meeting scheduled for Monday, according to the city’s website.
The newspaper’s office and all county and municipal facilities will re-open during regular business hours Wednesday, Dec. 26.
In other holiday closures, College Park city offices will be closed Tuesday, and Clayton County Public Schools offices will be closed from Monday until Jan. 4.
