MORROW The year is about to end but the Morrow City Council will squeeze in one more called meeting before 2013 arrives, town officials have announced.
The City Council meet today at 8 a.m. to vote on purchasing $40,000 of equipment for the Morrow Fire Department’s new fire truck. Council members will also vote to approve an intergovernmental agreement with Clayton County’s government to implement an excise tax.
Morrow police chief Chris Leighty is also expected to recognize several emergency dispatchers from the city.
The meeting will take place at Morrow City Hall, located at 1500 Morrow Road.
The meeting was originally scheduled to take place Dec. 18, but it was canceled because several council members had scheduling conflicts.
