Clayton News Daily
JONESBORO Clayton County residents should sit tight because New Year’s Day will bring one more round of holiday closures.
Any person used to picking up a copy of Clayton News Daily in person at the newspaper’s office, or visiting one of the county’s six libraries to conduct research will have to settle for watching the Tournament of Roses Parade and college football games on TV Jan. 1.
All seven cities, as well as the county government and the News Daily will be closed Tuesday in observance of New Year’s Day.
That will be after the newspaper and some county facilities close early Dec. 31. The newspaper’s office will close at 2 p.m. Monday, while the county’s libraries will close at 6 p.m. The Morrow-based National Archives at Atlanta will also close at 2 p.m. on Dec. 31 and remain closed on Jan. 1.
The newspaper, archives and city and county government facilities will reopen for business Jan. 2.
