The Clayton County Sheriff's Fugitive Unit arrested a Lake City man, Tuesday, on outstanding warrants involving a shooting over the sale of a car, said officials.
Sheriff’s Lt. Brian Crisp said detectives picked up Joseph Lamonte Olivier, 25, at a Harper Drive home. Olivier faces three counts of aggravated assault, five counts of criminal damage to property in the second degree, and one count of reckless conduct.
Crisp said the alleged incident occurred Nov. 12, at 6726 Tara Blvd., in Jonesboro. Olivier and an unidentified woman got into a disagreement in front of Building 14 over the sale of a vehicle, said Crisp.
"Olivier began discharging a .40-caliber firearm at the victim's vehicle," he said. "The victim was not hit, and fled to the rear of the complex. She exited her vehicle, hid and notified police."
Warrants for Olivier's arrest were issued Friday. He will be held in the Clayton County Jail, pending his first appearance hearing in Clayton County Magistrate Court.
