Pets of the Week - Harbin

Harbin is a one year old Lhasa Apso mix. He is currently in the midst of his vaccine series, and will be neutered prior to leaving the CCHS shelter. On a recent cold, rainy day, a CCHS staffer was coming down a busy four lane highway, and spotted Harbin darting in and out of traffic. It was clear that he was frightened and confused, so our CCHS person pulled over and chased the little wet ball of hair down and put him in her truck. Little Harbin was matted and dirty, and extremely thin. All of that, combined with the fact that he was running in traffic, showed that someone was not taking proper care of this sweet boy. An owner was located, and Animal Control did visit the location and leave information as to where the dog could be reclaimed, but as was expected, no one ever came to claim the dog. Now, cleaned up and eating healthy food, and being loved by the entire CCHS family, little Harbin is looking for a new home and family who will care for him the way he deserves to be cared for. Anyone interested in adopting Harbin, should call Clayton County Humane Society at 770-471-9436.
