Thanh Lam says math is his favorite subject in school, because it stimulates his brain with problem-solving tests. But, he plans to study art in college.
“I know, I’m kind of strange in that regard,” he said. “I like math a lot, but I love art even more.”
Thanh, 18, is Forest Park High School’s STAR student. He has a 4.0 grade-point average, and is involved in the Future Business Leaders of America, the Technology Student Association, the National Honor Society, the Math Club, and the Scholarship Club, at his school.
He has been accepted to Georgia State University, and is awaiting an admission decision from the University of Georgia. His career goals include being a fashion designer, an industrial designer, or an architect.
Lam chose Forest Park English teacher, Andrea Conaway, as his STAR Teacher. He is the son of Hang Lam.
