Danica Manns said she knows exactly what she wants to be in life.
Manns, 18, is the STAR student at North Clayton High School, in Riverdale. She said her goal is to –– one day –– work for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
“Since I was a little girl, I have always been interested in astronautics,” said Manns, who has a 4.3 grade-point average. The teenager said that, outside of focusing on school work, she stays busy with several activities, including: the North Clayton marching band, the National BETA Club, and the National Honor Society. Her STAR teacher is Regina Mitchell, an economics teacher at the school.
Manns said she has been accepted at three institutions of higher learning, including Georgia Tech, in Atlanta, Purdue University, in Indiana, and Embry-Riddle University, in Florida.
