Eagle’s Landing rebounded from its first loss of the season with a 70-54 win over Stockbridge on Tuesday in a Region 4-AAA contest.

The Golden Eagles were led by juniors Desmond Ringer and Isaiah Dennis, who had 14 and 12 points, respectively. Maurice Green finished with nine for Eagle’s Landing, which improved to 13-1 overall and 6-0 in the region.

Eagle’s Landing, which is ranked No. 2 in AAA, was coming off a loss to top-ranked Columbia in the championship game of the Eagle’s Converse Classic Tournament on Friday.

Jonesboro (boys) 81, Morrow 69: Patrick Petty scored 27 points to lead the No. 9 Cardinals to a Region 4-AAA win on the road. Junior Chukedubem Okeke finished with 17 points for Jonesboro, which improved to 9-3 overall and 6-1 in the region.

Morrow dropped to 6-7 and 3-4.

Ola (boys) 56, Griffin 52: The Mustangs have won four of its last five games with the Region 3-AAAA, Div. A win at home. Ty Bull lead the Mustangs with 20 points and teammate Nick Jones added 12 and Deonta Nocks finished with 11.

With the win, Ola improved to 10-6 overall and 3-2 in the subregion.

Victor Griffin, Andrew Caldwell and Nocks hit key free throws down the stretch to seal the victory.

Eagle’s Landing (girls) 44, Stockbridge 34: Taylor Mason and Brianna McRae scored 10 points each to lead the Lady Golden Eagles to their first win of the season. Makalah Joseph contributed 11 points to led Eagle’s Landing, which improved to 1-7 overall and 1-2 in Region 4-AAA.

Stockbridge (2-7, 2-4) was led by Deborah Hoe, who had 12 points while Amlin Sanders added 10 points.
