Pets of the Week - Reno

Reno is 2 and a half year old German Shepherd/Husky mix. He has been neutered and fully vaccinated. Reno was found at Animal Control. When our CCHS volunteer found him at Animal Control, he was filthy, extremely underweight, and he was shaking and cowering in the back corner of his kennel. Realizing that there was a spectacular and gorgeous animal underneath this frightened "bag of bones", just waiting to be rescued, Reno was rescued and taken to the CCHS shelter. He is still very shy, and he is frightened of strangers, but we have seen much progress in the months that he has been with us. Once comfortable, he warms up and can be quite affectionate. Recently, he has chosen to give kisses to a few "select" friends. He has a best doggie friend and roommate at the shelter. She is a gorgeous female German Shepherd, named Sydney. Reno and Sydney get along great together, so we know that he is willing to accept other dogs. Though it certainly won't be required, we would love to see this happy couple adopted together! Anyone interested in adopting Reno, should contact Robin at 770-478-7531.
