Sadie is 12 year old Beagle. She has been spayed and fully vaccinated. Sadie has a sad history, and it just gets sadder with each day that she remains a "shelter dog". This sweet, sweet girl was living a good life, in a loving home, where she had other "doggie friends" to play with.
When one of her human parents passed away, Sadie and the other dogs were left with the other person, who was somewhat disabled and unable to care for the dogs alone. Sadie and Mindy (one of the other dogs) came to live at Clayton Co. Humane. After months and months of trying to find a home for the girls, a family came in and agreed to adopt them together.
Everyone was elated, and Sadie and Mindy left, for what we all hoped would be the happy ending that we all wanted for them. Unfortunately, after only a year, Sadie and Mindy were returned when the kids "lost interest". The dogs were confused and depressed, and everyone at CCHS was heartbroken. Not too long after their return, a very nice couple came in and adopted Mindy, but were not able to take Sadie. We were thrilled for Mindy, but again, our hearts ached for Sadie. Another year has passed and Sadie is still with us, waiting for that special "someone" who will take her home and love her for the rest of her life.
