Henry County Police are searching for two men, who were allegedly involved in a deadly hit-and-run collision.
The crash has resulted in feticide, according to police.
“The driver of the vehicle that was struck, was four-months pregnant, and the impact from the collision caused the death of the unborn child,” said Henry County Police Maj. Jason Bolton.
Bolton said that, on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 10:30 p.m., a green Ford Expedition collided with a white, 1998 BMW 328, on Hudson Bridge Road, in front of the McDonald’s fast food restaurant.
The Ford Expedition was occupied by two white males, about 20 to 25 years of age, and they left the scene, according to Bolton.
Police believe the pregnant woman was alone in the BMW.
Now, police are searching for a green Ford Expedition that should have sustained slight, to moderate, front-end damage.
Following an investigation of the incident, Bolton said it is believed the vehicle was last seen traveling toward I-75 on Hudson Bridge Road.
